Terms of Use

Last updated: March 26, 2026

By downloading or using PrivateTranscribe, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

1. License

Free version

PrivateTranscribe's free version is provided as-is for personal use. You may install and use it on any number of your own devices.

PrivateTranscribe Pro

PrivateTranscribe Pro is a one-time purchase that grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use all Pro features indefinitely. Each license may be activated on up to 2 devices simultaneously.

You may not:

  • Share, resell, or redistribute your license key.
  • Reverse-engineer or modify the software to bypass licensing.
  • Use automated tools to generate or validate license keys.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are listed in EUR and may be subject to local taxes (VAT). Your license key is delivered immediately after a successful purchase.

3. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason (fortrydelsesret under Danish law / EU Consumer Rights Directive). To exercise this right, contact us at support@privatetranscribe.com before the 14-day period expires.

Note: by downloading and activating your license key you acknowledge that the digital content has been delivered. Withdrawal after activation may affect your eligibility for a full refund — see our Refund Policy.

4. Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

5. Updates

Pro licenses include all future updates to PrivateTranscribe at no additional cost.

6. Disclaimers

  • PrivateTranscribe is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee 100% transcription accuracy.
