By downloading or using PrivateTranscribe, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

1. License

Starter

PrivateTranscribe Starter is provided as-is for personal use. Starter currently includes 5,000 transcribed words per day, all local Whisper models, and CUDA acceleration where supported.

PrivateTranscribe Pro

PrivateTranscribe Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the Starter daily word limit and grants a personal, non-transferable license for the current major version. Each license may be activated on up to 2 devices simultaneously.

Unfinished beta functions, including AI Enhancement, Voice Assistant, Correction Memory, Smart Context, and Action Engine, require separate approved tester access until they are released to regular Pro customers. Buying Pro does not guarantee access to unfinished beta functions.

You may not do the following.

• Share, resell, or redistribute your license key.
• Reverse-engineer or modify the software to bypass licensing.
• Use automated tools to generate or validate license keys.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are listed in EUR. Any taxes or other charges applied to your purchase are shown before you confirm payment. Your license key is delivered after a successful purchase.

3. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Before purchasing Pro, you are asked to expressly request immediate digital delivery and acknowledge that, once delivery begins, you lose this statutory withdrawal right where applicable law permits.

This does not affect our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee or any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be limited. To exercise a withdrawal or other statutory right, contact support@privatetranscribe.com.

5. Updates

Pro licenses include updates for the current major version at no additional cost. Future major versions may require a separate purchase.

6. Disclaimers

• PrivateTranscribe is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
• We do not guarantee 100% transcription accuracy.
• Cloud transcription features depend on third-party providers and their availability.
• We are not liable for any loss of data or damages arising from use of the software.

These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not exclude liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court available to them under applicable mandatory law.
